Nationwide selected Nick Andersen as the new leader of Agribusiness Distribution and Underwriting, effective July 1, following the retirement of Dirk Pollitt.
“Nick brings deep experience across underwriting, product, operations and claims, along with a strong partnership mindset that will serve our agribusiness team well,” said Brad Liggett, president of Nationwide Agribusiness. “He is a thoughtful, steady leader who has made meaningful contributions across our organization, and I’m confident he is well suited to help lead Nationwide Agribusiness into the future.”
Andersen currently serves as vice president of Agribusiness Claims and Strategic Transformation and brings more than 25 years of insurance experience to his new role, in which he will lead Nationwide’s farm, ranch and commercial agribusiness sales and underwriting teams and oversee operational work that influences business performance.
Beyond his professional work, Andersen maintains an active commitment to community leadership, including service on the Simpson College Board of Trustees and past leadership roles with the Des Moines Community Playhouse and The American Red Cross of Central Iowa. &
